Over the past couple of weeks there have been over a thousand hits per week on the website, so it’s growth continues at a steady pace. I know this number of hits is miniscule in Googlarian terms but it is the trend which matters to me, and keeps me going, and keeps me devoting 1/2 – 1 hour a day to building it.
10 years ago, for someone with limited IT knowledge like myself building such a website would have been out of the question. Nowadays anyone can have a go using the user friendly templates that are now available.
I try as far as possible to give a personal touch to microbiology questions, and a microbiology slant to general philosophies. There is certainly a niche for this on the internet as many microbiology education sites on the net are fairly dry and formal in nature.
Over the next few weeks I will be focusing a little more on my transition to the other side of the world, and finding a place to live and work in Paris, so forgive me if I stray from pure microbiology from time to time. However I will try my best to keep adding a few articles every week to the website and keep the momentum going.
