Reviewing the statistics for the Microbiology Matters website, there has been 2300 website visitors and 18100 “page views” during the month of March, a moderate increase from February. Encouragingly I am starting to get 10-15 hits on the website daily coming from searches (for various microbiology topics) on “Search Engines” such as Google, thus bringing new people into contact with the website.
It is interesting to look at which topics receive the most readership, which seems to bear little correlation to my own personal favourites! One thing I can be sure of however is that you can’t please everyone all of the time, and I fully appreciate that not everybody will be interested in all of the articles. That is just something that one has to accept.
Over the next few weeks my plan is to design a “Microbiology Matters” icon which I plan to place at the top right hand corner of the front page. Keep an eye out for it…
Thank you for your continuing interest in the website and I hope that you find at least some of the articles and resources of interest to you.
p.s. I have added a few MCQs on “Clinically Important Anaerobes” to the website.
